Study

Currently in a studying mood! :?

Had practice with Kosin & company yesterday. Wow! They're so good. The music they make together, is close to similar with the original piece that they immitate, maybe even better. Wowee, they're soo pro. Can't help myself from asking them to play again and again. Of course we made an accompaniment for Roy so that he can practice and I hope they can play for me for the banquet. It'll be soo soo cool!

The second dorm held a Senior & Nursing Farewell today and there were award given to the cleanest room for each floor. Our room won the first prize and both my roommate and I won a shoe rack. Since we already have rows of shoe rack, I'm thinking of bringing it somewhere and Elsye agreed, heheh !

Have a paper to sit tomorrow, so wish me all the best!

Off

Making my own rules. Didn't attend any of my classes today coz I think my body needs more rest before the xm. Everywhere I go I feel sleepy, so it's time that I spent these two days to get a really good rest before Friday's exam. Thank God for these days.

Still have one more writing papers to do. Then all the studying, then vacation for 2 months. Wow. I can choose to go home, but there's other things I need to accomplish here. Just wait...

Poor Roy got wet on his way to school. Hope he won't get sick.

I'm still thinking of a song to sing for the senior banquet. Anyone, any idea?

My hair looks a lil' funny now. The hair dresser 'belah' the 'siring' on the wrong side of my hair. It still looks the same if you don't look carefully, but usually I split my hair on the right side instead of the left. Perhaps it doesn't look bad or too different, just felt funny...for the sake of Roy, maybe this pic can stay for a day...:)

Poor, look at the big dark bag around my eyes...

Have to rearrange and rethink about paying the dorm during holidays. Haiya..!

Oh ya, for those of you who read yesterday's blog, the site that Deanna put efforts to is here: www.geocities.com/amedmie Not complete yet, but will fix it before Dr. B gives a grade. Hey, thank you Mark too for his willingness to help and actually started too!

Created to Withstand!

I managed to keep my eyes open for 24 hours today. Yeah! What an acheivement... I was cutting and printing when everybody was asleep. I witnessed my roommate went to bed and I witnessed her waking up this morning. What a nice feeling to accompany bats and owls, except no dark side obscene senario was there to enjoy.

My first presentation was way good and fluent, however, the second one was way of mumblish words learned from a 2 year old. Can't believe it, presentations game over! Thanks Deanna for putting up the site for my Tankas to dwell!

Pay day for me. Being smart, although I missed all those precious sleeps that i should be getting from 2pm-4pm, I called up my kid and asked her to come just for the excuses such as "this is the last time I can teach your kid..." in a way implying "I want my pay now coz I won't see you for the next few weeks!" Eeeee! :x

Now for the massage. Going to rub off those dandruff with some friends. Tata...

I Did...

You know, I typed a whole bunch of words, then pressed something stupid and all dissappeared!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, just stare at this pic...my fav. pic!

Qing Tian

Hen zhao jiu qi lai zhuo gong ke. Jing tian you qu Man Gu. Zhen ke lian, yi jing mei qien le, hai yao lai hui, zhen de lang fei hen duo $$$ de la!

Hey...just trying to practice my 'han yu pin yin'. Haven't been doing these kind of 'pin yin' translation since I left chinese school. I'm missing the environment, the chinese way of life -- full of loud tone, sharp and piercing voice, obscene words like 'LCLY' and all those aiyaaaa stuff! Once I was part of them, loves cursing, loves short shorts, loves to do all the things they like to do, never go to church coz classes on Saturdays, haiya...I had the shock of my life when I was forced to leave those identity!

Another Friday, another Sabbath. Will be off campus for the weekend as usual, will miss my bed, my com, and my laundry yet to be done.

Just happened to read something: The Tongue that Defiles. The book of Proverbs says: He who guards his mouth preserves his life, but he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction. 13:3

Sleepless Days

Pretty much the same. No extra-ordinary happenings as such. However, me sleeping in for two days already surely is not considered as 'sleepless days' anymore. What a laid back!

Thought of an idea, why not I give Roy my monitor and get a flat screen??? 8)

Got to practice with Jack and the group today. Hope things works out well. They're all capable and talented except me, who doesn't even know which part I'm singing! Eeee...

Care for a joke?

A Real Ball Buster

"Doc," says Steve, "I want to be castrated."
"What on earth for?" asks the doctor in amazement.

"It's something I've been thinking about for a long time and I want to have it done" replies Steve.

"But have you thought it through properly?" asks the doctor, "It's a very serious operation and once it's done, there's no going back. It will change your life forever!"

"I'm aware of that and you're not going to change my mind -- either you book me in to be castrated or I'll simply go to another doctor."

"Well, OK.", says the doctor, "But it's against my better judgment!"

So Steve has his operation, and the next day he is up and walking very slowly, legs apart, down the hospital corridor with his drip stand. Heading towards him is another patient, who is walking exactly the same way.

"Hi there," says Steve,"It looks as if you've just had the same operation as me."

"Well," said the patient, "I finally decided after 37 years of life that I would like to be circumcised."

Steve stared at him in horror and screamed, "Shit! THAT'S the word!”

Fainting Lad...

Sabbath April 17, 2004

Happy Birthday Lane! Missed chatting with you. Wish you many happy returns and God bless! So he is, a supportive, loyal online friend!

Went to Ekamai International Church aka Philippino's Church. I liked the short review on the book of Jude by Pr. John which was on the church bulletin. It really inspired me and gave me new insight towards nowadays SDAs.

To Uncle Harold's place. Had a good lunch with the family, Gwen & Glenn, Oscar, Khelex, Jovita & Roy. Practiced for next week's vesper program, meaning I have to go to BKK again this Friday. Back in Jovita's apartment, the double duet practiced. Haven't sung for quite a long time. Badly need a permanent pianist. Ita, mana kau? Ate together in Roy's apartment and did my assignments 'til 2am.

Sunday April 18, 2004

Roy & Jovita left for class without me. I was too sleepy to wake up. Felt dizzy and wanted to just sleep. Went out at 10:30am and took a cab to BAH. On my way, this taxi driver that I was in with kept looking back at me. Everytime there's a traffic light stop, he'll take the opportunity to get glimpses of me?! Ish, I hated his 'pandangan maut' so much. When he finally pull over his taxi in BAH, I didn't have change and asked him to wait till I get some change. When I got back to him, he increased the price from 65 Baht to 80 Baht and without further arguments, I gave him the money. Then he suddenly asked "Are you going back this evening? Can I come and pick you up?" Whattttttt??? I gave a slam on the door and the security guard was blowing his wistle at him to ask him to go. Hahaha! Attended class until 4:30pm.

Was so exhausted to do anything. Slept early, of course woke up early too.

Today April 19, 2004
Roy smsed me and told that he slept at 3am to complete my Tankas. Poor boy. I don't know how, but it's for sure a blessing to have a boyfriend such as Roy who has done English as his major. He really sacrifice and helped me with most of my big-big papers, small-small assignments and a lot more. I could easily ask him questions on my problems regarding certain courses because he had eaten up alot of salt before I did. So, really want to thank him for helping me on my Tanka's interpretations.

Want to thank Deanna for replacing me in adding stuff in the Scriptor. Thanks for the belated present too from the girls. I also received something from my roommate, how nice!

Finished (hopefully) my group project on the brochure, so now have to crack our heads on the CD which accompanies the brochure.

Dad also smsed me. He told me a lil' about his work in Auckland. Quite interesting. The time difference between NZ and Thailand is 4-5 hrs. Guess he's sleeping at this very moment. :)

Be Off For A While

Gonna be off till Sunday and maybe can't blog often, not before the exam, but maybe will still try and get hold of this thing.

Chatted with Lollie. She's doing fine. She dislike her job a hundred times hundred and now is hunting for another one in KB. She updated me some news about friends. Told me who and who got married already, and so and so moved to some place. Nice to update each other with current happenings.

Going to speed up a lil' bit on things these weeks before the exam starts. So, non-stop working that means for me.

Wish I can go to NZ...

Liked Ita's story bout her experience in the Ulu. Wish I can do the same right now. Too stressful being here...

So the rest of you, how was Songkran?

Abnormal

I feel like an alien. Don't belong here. Should go live with owls. But not too good with their life style...get sleepy at times, better consider...:)

Determined to finish up all my work today. But arghhh, this sleepy head just can't keep me alert. Hope some motivation will help. Have to go to Bkk tomorrow. Roy needs to renew his visa. I have to tag along, if not, I'll go down by myself on Sunday to attend that one lame class. Not exactly lame, but the thought of having classes on Sundays makes me headache!

Called home today. Can't believe Dad is really leaving for Auckland. Mom will surely be lonely for 3 months. I prefer she goes with him, coz all my siblings are scattered in KK. How I wish I can just go home and be a house lady for a while. Let me finish now, now, now...

Can't waste time here. All my ramblings, none's worth reading I guess. Ciaw!

Work

Worked like puppies today. Glad that the other puppy Roy was with me in the office. He helped me with the pictures since the CD for the program is not available. Took him quite an effort. Should get paid. But too bad, I get little too for doing this job. Ron suggested that I sign some contract with the college or something like that. Maybe when it's Deanna's turn, she can suggest.

At last, The Scriptor is ready for printing. Hallelujah :!:

To Jordan & Chrystal's house. How nice to have a second place where you can call home. When you're hungry, there's always food, when you're locked outside the dorm, there's always shelter. Am I glad!

Songkran Party

Woke up late. Did nothing. To MBK, bought some things for my project, ate and left for MC. Here I am now, blogging...

Today, have to go to work. Have to sit in the office and work like a dog. Have to have the marxism spirit of Animal Farm. Yes! I will work harder, and harder, and harder...Yay to Scriptor!

What's the plan? tembak Jaffrey with water during the party? Can bah! :D

Birthday

Happy beeeetday to you,
Happy beeeetday to you...
Hahaha! A bunch of people was singing some cute
Thai-ish b'day tune in Swensens while we were enjoying our gigantic ice-cream dish. This was part of the fun. Wanna know more?

Instead of taking the BTS, Jovita, Roy & I decided to indulge ourselves into a lil' bit of luxury of taking the cab at the footstep of MSI Tower to Siam Square. While waiting for Khelex, I wanted to exercise konon and did a jogging setempat with my sneakers to the BTS info. center to ask for direction to a place that we wanted to visit but tidak jadi. Poor, there's no such place as Siam Theme Park. Got back to where Roy & Jov were siting then wondered how come my shoe seemed wider. Checked. Oho, the sole was coming off. Who has a super glue? No one. Who wants to sew my shoe? No one. Yeah, Jov laughed and Ropoy almost fell from where he was sitting. Shhh, can't tell anyone, the stranger sitting next seat musn't know either. But shoot...the two were commenting and glancing twice to thrice again and again on that kasut bocor. Soon Khelex came. He didn't laugh though, but wondered if his heart did...:) Didn't matter. It was time to get myself a nice cheap gift and use up Daddy's money to buy a nice, new sneakers. Nice tau the shoe I got. Giving credits to the three who said 'nice oh the kasut'.

After my shoe incident, we headed towards the famous Oishi. I couldn't keep myself away from the bowl filled with ramen+salmon+...+...! Soo sedap! Next time will try Jov's ordered dish, crab sticks with ommelete. Have the desire to try Klex's dish, but it happens to be beef. :(

So we decided to go for bowling, but it was full. Someone then had the idea to go to U Smile. It was dumb for me to suggest I thought, but didn't think so after we were out of that place. We had lots of fun posing! I hope the next time we go, someone could smile more. :)

Where do you suggest we hide in order to kill 2 hours? Karaoke Heaven. That's the place we laid our backs, a small comfortable seat in a small bottle-like room. Nice place to throw yourself out with friends, especially with good old friends like these three. We clicked & sung like monkeys! Kuluk was good at the Mc Hammer move, eeee...try do again??? Jov was like the replica of Mariah Carey, and Roy was like gay...eh no, he was like my darling bhue, and I was like LeAnn Rhymes 100x bhue!!! Ahahahaha!

Then we got so tired until none of the Acapella worked, we went to Swensens. That's where we heard the 'appy beeeeeeeeeeetday to you...appy beeeeeeetday to you' (pull ur throat up & down for a good result on the eeeee).

To wrap up the day, we headed to Sala Daeng, bought some ciplak movies, and return to Thong Lor. Crashed in Roy's place, including Oscar now, and watched a movie on Roy's half-dead-haunted monitor.

Thanks guys for the swell loud day. It was something to cherish. Lets plan for lots of money-throwing-day like this the next time!!

Hiya!

Songkran Holiday begins. Trying hard to complete everything before I leave for Bkk today. Well, first thing first, I have to go to class, and the rest follows...

Classes ended. Had to rush to get & return books from the library. Then ran and ran like cazy to the cafe! Gobbled up my food and when I was about to go, a pay check came hehe! My tuition $$$, wohoo! 8)

1-2pm, taught the Korean kids. They were sooo sooo lazy today, heat them up with more work coz they just can't stop saying "I'm so lazy!"

2pm-3:45pm, taught Nong Peach. 4pm, took big steps to the MC van stop. Whew...man, I sweat the whole journey till Bkk. Farrel too, haha!

To Chesters, the Khra Pao Pla was soo spicy. It made me lick my own sweat while eating. Yuck!

Bloging after Break

Finally I'm here blogging again. Let me give a brief summary of my day spent during the weekend.

Friday Nite April 02, 2004
Ate at Zen restaurant in Siam Center. To Sala Daeng. Watched Passion of Christ. Had mixed thoughts and maybe a lil' of emotions, but it didn't really make me cry because of my running questions left unanswered and I'm yet to find a satisfying answer in the Bible or from those who are knowledegable. The movie focuses so much on the torture part, no comment or otherwise...

Sabbath April 03, 2004
Went to Lumpini Park with Jovita and Roy. Nice peaceful part situated in Sala Daeng. Had a sense of Sabbath by then. :) Stomach got hungry and we went to a fast food kind of restaurant called Thai Thai at CP Tower. Got bored of the heat, took the sky train to MBK. Bought papers and went home to watch Judgement. Later on, the three of us (Jov, Roy & I) was kinda having competition on studying for the next day's quiz. Sure enough we studied but not for long. Lai Sum and Elsye came and Roy and I took off from our books. Bogged down tired! :)

Sunday April 04, 2004
Woke up and headed to class at BAH. I dropped the morning class and so have to wait for my afternoon class. Was studying around the campus but later migrated to the hospital's cafe to munch cakes. Pretty soon again moved to the hospital's library. The clock struck 12pm, time for lunch. After lunch, someone informed us that there's no quiz. Damn! For all the things I stored in my head, no quiz...Nothing to loose though, but how could that be! Anyway, Mrs. Kurian taught the class today. Wow, wished I could give long lectures non-stop like her. She speeds till we covered the whole chapter 3, just imagine that...Hwiew...

After class' best part, went to Victory Monument and just walked along the streets. Looking for the '3 for 100B' but too bad, no luck. Went to MBK and ate at this fabulous Vegetarian restaurant. Not to our surprise, Khelex and Oscar later on joined the 'cuci mata' walk. :) But dunno how come suddenly we lost touch of each other inside the big crowded mall which was attacked by a monstorious monster (of course in the latest Thai movie)...

Monday April 05, 2004
Slept most of the time. Then did all the cleaning there was. Standard Charted never come. How to Deal again. Roy renewed visa. Later on found ourselves at Sala Daeng's Sizzler and collecting bird's poops (hahaha Ropoy!!! but shoot it was on me too!). New slippers huh? New fan too? Ehek! Oh ya, finished a few assignments for some classes. What an achievement!

Tuesday April 06, 2004
To MBK. Roamed around. Ate chinese fish poridge which is so sedap. Fixed my phone. Joined Farrel & Hazel at Daidomon. Ate again and this time Chester's fish, and ate, and again. Haiya...finished all the extras on food. Good thing I've retreated back to my lil' book world hut.

Till the Break of The day

At last it's Friday! Not freaking, but I like it so much if it's Friday. It always put a smiling face in everyone's after-gloomy week! :)

Looking forward to do Avalon's Everything to Me. Heard it and immediately fell in love. Gonna get my musicians. At least one has agreed--the pianist. :)

Running away today to some comforting place other than this bored-me-out college. So, maybe will not blog, or blog or I'll see...but will surely tell bout the weekend though.

Happy Sabbath!
