Blogging Deprived

I still can't blog properly. Everytime I want to there's always something that pulls me away from doing so. Lots of pictures to upload, lots of junks to delete, in short -- lots of things to do. Say, I should have used my holidays wisely ya?

Mercy me...

Sunday Aug 22, 2004

Stayed home. Actually wanted to go to a gospel church but cancelled the plan. I was so happy to see my roommate back. Yeah, lots of goodies from the Phillipines, and stories too! :) You know what? Never deny when someone says you're lucky to be studying in MC. I also believe in this -- MC is the most versit ile among all the Adventist colleges. :)

Wanted to go to Hazel's house with Jo, Elsh and Roy but the 501 came only after we changed our plans.

Monday Aug 23, 2004

Another week. Wondering if I could really survive *sigh*. But then, I went to MC today with Farrel. Sort of an adventure...took lots of buses and van, then pick-up. Thank God everything went well. Finally I completed my registration and met lots of friends and lecturers old and new. Why only now, when I'm almost leaving, the 'goodness' of MC starts to shine so much? Maybe it was me who missed all the colors before. I overseen the bad and forgot about the rest??! Well, I'm yet to give my testimony...someday!

Tuesday Aug 24, 2004

Went to Emporium with Elsh. Yeah, played UNO with Klex, Jov, Roy and Elsh. Wow...it can be a rabid game oh!

Wednesday Aug 25, 2004

To Panthip with Farrel and Elsh. So many things I want to own  but haiya...

Whoa! My lucky day. Won 1st place UNO hahaha! It's a good game actually, but it can take hours to finish sometimes. :)

Thursday Aug 26, 2004

To Pratunam and Panthip with Elsh. Hm...hold on, not that I go places means I have money tau...it's even worst! Hahhaa! Not bad lah...still cukup makan and all...

Haiya...in Pratunam also so many things to shop (kalau ada duit). But I get bored seeing all ladies wear, not much of a children wear and men's wear. Went to shop for a friend's notebook again. Whoa...I wish it was mine.

Watched "Saved" and "Princess Diary 2". Not bad!

Friday Aug 27, 2004

Siam Bank was kind to me, Thank God. I consider it a big problem if my handphone drops. Yeah, it did this morning when I was searching for my keys. Patah again. Arrrggggggggggggghhhhh! No, will not switch to Nokia right now. No money plus I don't know why Nokia doesn't lure me much! :)

Oscar come kah that today? Hehehe!

Boring Days

Thursday Aug 12, 2004

It's public holiday in Thailand. It's the Queen's birthday and at the same time the Thais make it official where Mother's Day is also to be today. As for me, it didn't make any difference 'coz I'm still on hols. Didn't go anywhere today since I'm surviving on pennies left in my purse. A curse for not having any bank account activated that it makes it so hard for my daddy to send me money.

Other things, I'm so nerveous 'bout AF2. Who'll be the juara and all. Been reading about Mas. She's so innocent and yet people put so much expectations on her. That's the problem merging from one life to another. You're out in the open. So much so that you later will find out that nothing of those matters so much anymore and by the time you do realize it's way too late.

Friday Aug 13, 2004

Stayed home the whole day dealing with my monthly cycle. Not a good thing to have, it makes me sleepless at night. One can imagine the pain for the first two days. Oh please!

It’s Olympic in Athens!

Watching Left Behind for the second time pays off. It gave me the sense of coming back. Happy Sabbath!

Sabbath Aug 14, 2004

I was the only one who missed church. Don't felt like going or am I just lazy. Maybe both. Roy and I did something I thought was really soothing today. We went to Queen's Park, sat, did nothing and watch people passed by us. Silence is really golden when you learn to do it in the right place, right time. God really had a purpose on creating us different from one another, and that amazes me. :)

Pi Kwang was right. I seldom use my diaphgram. I've never dream of analyzing Britney Spear's "I'm Not A Girl Not Yet A Woman". Ahahahahaha...

Sunday Aug 15, 2004

"Why in the world do people fall in love with each other?" A line from Mandy Moore's movie "How To Deal". This is my 7th time watching it. How bout you Dee? Hm...mentioning Deanna, I wonder how other friends are doing back home? Are they enjoying too much? I hope they do 'coz another busy semester is soon beginning.

Playing UNO with Roy is so much fun yet it is not when there are only two players. We bet for Cheese Lover Pizza, but it didn't appear.

Monday Aug 16, 2004

I'm missing on my Reader's Digest this month. Heard there's Kate Hudson's coverage. Hope it's not too late to get one by the end of this month.

If you're wondering why I update my blog with loads of passed blogs, it's because I don't have the money to visit the CC anymore. I'm saving it to buy ikan tin! :)

If you've heard the song "When You Wish Upon A Star" by NSync, boy their Acapella arrangement is hard to learn, right?

Today Aug 17, 2004

I watched a movie by Jessica Alba "Honey". Lots of values. I'll definitely watch it again.

Gown Hunt

Finally G&G are getting married. We went all the way to hunt for our bride's maid gown and coat. I'm looking forward to this event end of this month. We as their friends are sooooo excited!

p/s: The gown we got...lawa!

Spent Well

Sabbath August 07, 2004

Sabbath was spent well. Lots of funny things and interesting acts. :) Then 5:30-6:30pm was also worth the money! Thank you Lord!

Today August 08, 2004

To Radient Christian Bookstore. Was quite dissapointed with the displays. Nothing new. The last time I went there was one and a half year ago. Most of the CDs are still there...

Also had a sufficient bus rides, which cost almost a packet of candy!

Running Out of Breath

I ran and ran and ran and ran to the catch the 12 O'clock van to MC. When I got there, the guy said the MC Van is out of service. Whattttt??? So they put me into a Saraburi van which certainly will stop in Saraburi, and from there the guy said I need to walk to the bus station and catch a bus to Muak Lek. When I reach Muak Lek, I need to take a motorbike to MC. What a load!!! Then I took back my 70B fare to Saraburi and ran with my empty tummy and shivering fingers to Centre One. Lucky enough that Sondang could replace me for the song service. I hope Auntie Nells understands. I really really want to go back, plus I need to get the 'bosou' for Gwen...Vannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!

Now I'm all alone here in MBK wondering what to do next!

A Good Turn

Aug 01, 2004 (Sunday)

It was an unplaned adventure. We were with the Pasambas and a lady who works in RAIS. The Pasambas were heading towards the airport so they dropped the three of us in Future Park. A big place that was and the lady seemed clueless about getting the bus to Ramkhampaeng. So we walked across FP and headed towards the crowded cineplax. Then I was clueless. Caught a sight of a police man and asked for directions. Suddenly that guy seemed to recognize Ropoy. After a few chat, oooo...the police man remembered Ropoy because Ropoy taught him and and a bunch of police English in Saraburi's academy. So he helped and found a van to MinBuri for the lady. Since we were too lazy to go back to FP, we made up our minds and went with the lady to MinBuri. Never been to this place. Reached Minburi, took 113 bus to RAIS. Then from there, Roy and I took a Song-teaw (and dibawa keliling dunia first) to Bangkapi The Mall. By then, our tummy was already too hungry and we still managed to quarrel in front of Sizzler. Anyway, while we were about to finish, we saw Haze, Farrel & Damien coming in Sizzler. What a small-small world! And they were with Uncle D and Auntie T and Farrel's parents. :)

After our favorite Auntie Anne, we decided to take a bus to Ekamai or maybe even better Sukhumvit. The bus number listed on my hp were 22,122,115,126,514, 95,145 and 8. Well, out of so many buses, we hop on bus 95 assuming it will pass through Khlong Tan and we could get off and take another bus. Things went really wrong when we were on the bus. First, we didn't pay our tickets. Second, the bus conductor didn't collect money from us. Third, instead of getting off in Khlong Tan's junction, we followed the bus this time hoping it would stop 'close' to Khlong Tan. But it didn't. It went on. Roy was furious, I was telling him not to worry because the bus usually would do a circle and would come to the same route. It didn't!!! What? The sign says Bang Pa In, then bla..bla..bla...and bla..bla..bla... Oh...now we know for sure, we were nowhere close. Now the bus - passing through some strange of the stranges kampung! Looked around, nobody left except us on the bus, the conductor and the driver of course. Where? This is the end route? Go down? Ok! As we looked around, scary, eaary, it's a kampung for sure, no other buses, it's getting dark, close to 7pm, pray...

A good turn! We just stand across the road from where we initially got off, the bus made an unofficial U-turn, we were too ashamed to hop into the same bus, hoping a taxi would stop by. Instead of a taxi, the bus stopped. "Aw zhe pai nai?" the conductor ask. "eh, ah..." then he noticed that we were foreigners. Down came the bus driver. "zizizhuzhuzhizhizhuzhu...(fast-forwarded). Since we don't know how to explain that we were lost, out of nowhere we said we were heading towards our friends house and he's waiting for us somewhere close to Ramkhampaeng and we want to go there but still dunno how to get there. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" the driver said. "Come, we'll take you to the main road. The place here is very-very dangerous, plus it's getting dark, there's no other buses and taxi is very expensive." "It's free ride" the conductor added. Ashamed and showed the guilt on our face, we once again got into the bus. Both the bus conductor and and the driver were really worried about us. They really wanted us to get hold of 'our friend'. After knowing that where we were heading, they stopped a taxi driver for us on the main road and told the taxi to take us safely there. Since we didn't pay earlier, I decided to give both the bus driver and the conductor an amount which equals to a 6 rides fare. They refused to take the money and said they're really determined to help and it's from their bottom of their hearts. Didn't know how to make them understand that I felt bad inside, I said "huo zhai mai sa bai...so take it!"  He gave us a hand shake, and say good-bye. We almost knelt down when we thanked them, the thank you meant more like a "sorry and thank you" followed by a thousand echos.

That was not a mere adventure. It was a big lesson and a great reminder for us. If it wasn't for that turn the driver took, we would never have experienced this turn in our life. A turn from dishonesty, disgrace, greed, judgemental, generalizing, unforgiving, etc. to being the opposite. The bus conductor and the bus driver have repeated the act of the Good Samaritan in the Bible to remind Roy and I that the story was not there by accident or by chance. It was there to remind us to do good all the time, even to strangers.
