Dunno why Roy and I are so addicted to Nachos and salsa!!! Just a few hours ago we went to Gourmet and bought another set, kinda like spent alot on it. Nyways, it's better than spending the money on something which doesn't benefit your tummy right? Haha!
Made test paper for my students just now and now I know why it is not again easy to become a teacher. Students like me often complain about tests, they often think that it's easy to compose and think that teachers just love giving tests, but the truth is that it uses twice as much of my brain cells to successfully make one compared to those who will sit for the test who will probably use half of their intelligence rather than full swing. Heee...I'm being so much a teacher, ceh!
Set me free, set me free! Another 9 weeks or so in fire!
...for this day to come. I just don't know how to express my exact feeling about teaching. Anyway, I am trying to let it out in different ways such as switching my mind to anything but not school and tuning my brain to anything but not spelling and reading. Also, I try as much as possible to blur my vision of those rascals in the classroom and crystal clear my eyeball to heaven at least.
Today I think I am loosing my voice since it's kinda hoarse right now and no doubt in a few days time (thanks to weekends) if teaching is to be continued without a break and if it's going to be in 8A,8B,8C,8D or 8E, the chances of being susceptible to several viruses is not a question anymore. Still I continue to count my days.
I was able to chat with Dee on the phone and it's like 98% of my burden is lifted on cell phone's calvary Hah! Blessing it is to have a friend like Dea...
Church will be at home tomorrow so - Happy Sabbath -
It's awsome to have a day of holiday in the mid of the week. Recapturing the events the past few days, hm...
Sunday: Went back to Bkk from MC with Roy and Kenny's mom. Took a bus from VM to First Hotel. When we finally got there, there's this chinese church member was trying her best to sell me her beauty product. After the 'pushing-declining' part, I paid 75B for a royal jelly cream. Haiya! Met lots of the mama after an hour of waiting, such as Junior's mom (who knows my mom well and I didn't remember meeting her before), Lollie's mom, and I dunno who's mom again. So we took them to EIS and from there headed to MBK.
Wah... the shopping part was so hillarious! Everyone has their own characteristics especially the bargaining part. Everyone knows that this particular shop offer all fixed price, but the auntie's still wanted to bargain. Haha! Then there's this one lady really wanted to buy dolls and before we left she asked "ada patung ka sana?" Then I said "ada." When she was actually in MBK, she didn't go with me instead she was on her own. So when we were about to leave, she said "tiada patung tu, bikin panat saja aku jalan!" I said "bah, marilah kita pigi sama2 cari." She said "tidak mau lah, malas sudah aku." On the way home, lots of funny incident also at the BTS station. My friend's mom and some others were almost left behind because the train door shut almost immediately! Then another lady was squatting and bending searching for her BTS ticket...I tell you... Then the bus 71 was also a hillarious experience for some. I was really exhausted when I finally got back!
Monday: My supervisor was sick and so I got to teach 5 classes and was really down with hoarse voice! Again at 7pm, took lots of them to Suan Lum Bazaar. This was my first time coming to this place. I mean, among the guide Haze P, Jathro, Jov, Roy and myself, none of us have ever been to this place. So, it was quite an adventure. On our way home, one of the auntie actually fainted after the MRT ride. Long story. Got back home at 1:30am. Again tired!
Tuesday: Pathfinder day in school. Was so sleepy! Decided to cut my hair again and now it's shorter than anyone can imagine. Ya.
Late for school. Cursed all the alarm!!! Well, supervised 4 similar tests today and it was good. The challenging part was that my supervisor asked me to sit for the test to see how hard her test was and I didn't even go throught he lesson! Eeeee...
Headed to a nearby Coffee Bean for tea. My supervisor, another teacher and I ordered 3 different kinds of tea. It was good for we were able to taste 3 different types of tea since each of us ordered different flavors. Chatted about politics issues in schools and by just knowing a bit of it already scares the hell out of me!
I was trying to put positive attitude on my face today as I stepped in school. I'm glad that most of the time I was in class and didn't have to act dumb. I also spontaneously taught a class in replacement for my supervisor and was able to numb the students for a while. Apart from the 4 classes (8A, 8B, 8C, 8D) that I've entered since Monday, today I was also introduced to the one and only smart ass class in Grade 8 and that is Grade 8E class. One of their question for me was "what is your size?" Woooh!! Budak-budak sekarang ah... %$#$##%&^
Other things -
1. No available apartment and the last resort was to stay with someone for the time being. I fortunately know this someone and guess life in Bkk would be much cheaper then.
2. There's a possibility that I might be offered my dream career.
3. Movie marathon it will be since I have ehm...ehm...sumthing like The Stepford's Wives, The Notebook, Duplex, Saving My Hubby, and dunno apalagi tu.
4. Appointment with the mama-mama. Duh...tour guide lagi!
Reached school at 6:50am. You know? This school where I'm teaching wakes up early and I hate waking up early! Had to stretch my eyelids wider eventhough I've washed my face. Had the flag-pole rise and the national anthem and then 4 class straight from 7:00am-10-:45am. Today is considered the lightest load of all in a week. Well, was doing lots of corrections with my supervisor's project. Woooh! Did the correction until my mind was filled with pancakes this and pancakes that and story this and story that!! Took a break and guess what? My break was changed to a decision--taking off early. So I went home at 12:15pm. Hahaha!!! Nyway, my supervisor also had a lunch date with her husband and she too took off early.
My mind struck me with a question and I already know the answer since long long time ago. "Do you really love teaching?" Weeeee, what am I supposed to do! To tolerate is one thing, but I will try my best to hang on there and finish what I've started and probably move on with something else. That's the idea...
Happy Valentine's Day to all! Roy and I are not really celebrating. Makan ice-cream sajalah.. Anyway, here in Bkk, they really celebrate macam hari Krismas. The roses also naik harga like 1 batang=100Baht. Really rediculous!!! So girls, if you get roses from anywhere here in Bangkok, appreciate it, mahal tu!
Had a good weekend with Mark around, but also had a nightmare on Saturday nite, but I think it came to past. Love surpases everything for sure. That is why God=love.
Plan to climb Mt. Kinabalu. K-lex & Junior, come join!
Updated at 9:58pm on Vday, 2005
Orientation at EIS. Grade 8!!! Dunno why grade 8 - the nakalest among the nakalest!
Had a small Valentine dinner with Roy. Hehe, we fixed dinner ourselves and it's one of the simplest, but also one of our most romantic days! And today is our 5th anniversary as a team.
Went to Pratunam yesterday. Stopped by at Panthip to get some computer stuff and off to shop. Guess what? I damn circle the place for 3 hours and found nothing that suits me. Even if there is, it ain't fit! Roy who has no intention or whatsoever to shop for anything, ended up buying a shirt and jeans! Went home dissapointed.
Stopped by Emporium to eat my favorite spicy tuna spaghetti and Taufufa. Then despite the kerosakan that's dominating my pc and jov's, we still managed to watch Kung Fu Hustle without translation. Eaaa! Need Lai Sum to translate cantonese since my cantonese sucks!
Oh shoot...haven't done my cover letter yet and it's getting late!
Sabbath at EIS with friends. Was so 'malu'because I was greeted by one of the top people who interviewed me as soon as I stepped in the church building. Ish...bikin jatuh point only going to church at almost 11am. Anyhow, we stopped by Sizzler and after that managed to jalankan tugas - that is to pesan bunga to send to her gf for her b'day. Isn't that sweet??? But gila mahal the bunga here!!
Attended an interview with a school on Wednesday. Two session. First from the development & Philantrhopy Director, then was sent to the conference room with the some of the board commity. I thought it was only with the D&P director, but it ended up with the commity. One should hold their breath and listen to my body crack of chills! It went very well. And I just want to thank God. And I want to thank my parents for sending to chinese school.
Met Haze at Phrom Phong and off we went for pedicure at one of the saloon in this tiny Soi. As we settled, our feets were pampered like a baby. Reasonable price and lasting nail polish! Now pinky white...
Meet The Fockers! Ahahahhahahahhaahahahhaha hahhahaa! Cish...the lady who sat beside me in the cinema laughted hissingly until all of her 'tempias' flew like tsunami around my body. Eeeeeh! It's still funny just like the first one - Meet The Parents. And Greg finally _o_ m_____ despite the father-in-law's suspicions of him having an illegitimate son. Yes, fill in the blanks by watching it!
