I have read many stories about babies or kids surviving at oddest time and places when men thought it could have been the opposite. An invisible hand has always been claimed to be the first that comes to the rescue when humans and the abilities they possess fail to reach out to these innocent alarms. Just after reading about baby Kyson two weeks ago, this one is another recent miracle!
How else a newborn managed to survive after falling through a train toilet? I truly believe that several heavenly angels (divine intervention) must have caught her from hitting the rail track and immediately wrapped her safely before she was found by security officials. Praise be to God! Read about it here.
*I am here at school, 7:34am, seated at my desk, catching up on election news in Malaysia before stepping on to my classes' treadmills.
I have been browsing and reading through all the parties that will be joining the 12th General Election in Malaysia this year. Hobbit and I have been having this frustrating conversation lately about how the election has been in our home country and it was easy for us to accuse so and so is not good and this and that is not fair but don't really know what the public or the party themselves have to say about it. Thus this is the only way I could catch up with all the filthy politics lurking in Malaysia right now. It's a citizen way of understanding why Malaysia is 'so' Malaysia and how one could be well armed as the future is still in our hands despite of its past!
As I read my news feed everyday, it occurred to me that the Clinton-Obama debate is getting hotter since both are excellent candidates and of course the electorate there will have a hard time choosing as to who will star the next US President/DPL. Their situation is intense that if you compare it with the election news in Malaysia, it makes you think 'pilihan raya di malaysia teda-teda bah' (election in Malaysia has nothing in comparison to) kind of a thing. Look at all the lousy black sheeps the government gave us to choose from. We don't even have to THINK but just vote and accept whichever and whatever because we know ahead of time who will surely win the lot. From reading various online news, which media is not controlled by this ** party?? I just can't help using my mom's favorite phrase right now -- Haiya...kalau macam ini susah lah...
Anyway, this is hilarious and makes me wanna dance to its tune right now:
More about the 12th election here and more funny clips here. Watch the clip about Lingam and it's so korek...korek...korek! Mr. R (my colleague) and I have been following this news about this BFL Lingam and made a fool of ourselves by imitating him but suddenly when election erupted, all whatsoever news about him is just gone with the wind only to leave more laughing stocks in YouTube. Cheh!
Since you guys said my previous hair picture is lousy (and I agree to it), here is a 100% zoomable one! *kidding*
By the way, digital perm such as this only last for about 3-4 months which is perfect for me since I plan to do something to it again pretty soon! LOL!
Don't do perms such as this unless you are willing to invest lots of time in front of the mirror! The curls no longer look like this after washing and I suck at styling.
*At least I got lots of compliments from my little students! *grinnnnn*
I didn't know about this news until Jr told me. He kept on saying my saudara (relative) is one of the contestant running for a seat in Tbn in this coming election. So I was wondering which saudara. It turned out that my uncle is actively involve in this coming election and I am sure most of my relatives there would be mentally torn in between as to whom they should 'gift' their votes to. I so want to say more but...haiyah! Not here...
I also didn't know that the well-known RTM DJ Susana Basil had just passed away. May God comfort her families. I would not know her if it wasn't for my parent's avid love for the evening radio KDusun delight! By the way, the Basils are our relative but there are too many of them that I don't even know who is who. All I know too well is I can't have any sort of romance budding with all my neighbors' kids since 95% of my village neighborhood are related to me! It happened to my cousins N and C. They fell in love without knowing that they are related as 2nd cousin. So my grandma made a BIG fuss about it that it almost break the families up I tell you...That's why I don't dare. Hm...I guess I'm out of the topic...
My hair still smells of perm right now and I can't stop my hands from twirling the curls. When it was blow dry time, my heart bounced with anticipation hoping it would turn out the way I wanted more than what the hair stylist had in mind..
Basically this was the process: wash, trim, hair treatment, beam-light saucer treats, wash, rollers loaded, octopus-like machine treats, wash, blow-dry, set and done!
This was the result!
Overall I was very pleased with the outcome and didn't regret doing it. This type of perm is actually called a digital perm. I opted for this since it does less damage to your hair and the curls are much more softer compared to the usual perm. Well, I informed the stylist ahead of time of how big or small the curls should be and also opted for a U-shaped cut. Their advice and instructions were really helpful and I wasn't hesitant to go for the trimming process knowing that they would handle it just well. Unlike my past major hair trimming, I had severe trauma to layered trims due to the typical layered cut that the Thais use to like. I just don't like the typical "layered cut" that most saloon do to long straight hair like mine. However, this is one of the rarest cut that managed to give me enormous satisfaction! Glad it turned out nice! Now comes my worry for caring and styling! Hobbit is more worried I suppose...
My hair is clinging onto a weird machine right now that looked similar to a multi-tasking octopus while I am sitting butt-achingly typing this blog. I thought this whole hair journey would be very boring, what more after this ol-forgetful me forgot to bring fancy reading materials to kill time. However, this is unexpected! A saloon with free internet service and all you have to do is sit back and let your hair enjoy its pampering session while you read online news and blog. Well, I'll post some follow-ups when I get home, hopefully..if I'm not too tired! Happy Sabbath everyone...
I read the six true-life signs that you shouldn't stick around at your new job from CNN. So, here are my six true-life signs that I have encountered and I should have known better to not linger but leave! Taking into account of what was said in Careerbuilder.com, I have coined the six signs to my own previous experiences.
1. You just started work and you weren't given a proper space, desk and chair. So you ask for your new boss and he gives you a No. 2 of what they have and promise to get the rest either tomorrow or next week or the week to come or next month or never. At least, be sensible right?? How can you work without the necessary tools? Be it a company (for me it is definitely a school) with financial or no financial problem, one would spend more time worrying about getting necessary materials and tools than working. Note: I wasn't given my own space until the minute I left and hey, it was then my one year anniversary!
2. You were not shown a cubicle on your first day of work and bravo for a non-manual job! Any good employer trains new hires during their first few days on the job which you went nothing of that but shooed to work immediately on day one. From the first day, you weren't informed that you have a network of support ready to help you find your whereabouts, questions and needs.
3. You get the same raised eyebrows everytime you tell someone about your new job and employer. You ignored gossips but sometimes a company's reputation speaks louder than words to ignore. Why would friends, colleagues and people consistently have negative feedback about the very place that they are working at if it's not for some legitimate reason?
4. After a month or so, you are already halfway to win the title "the most seniority of them all" trophy. You see new faces almost every week and you don't go further than a "Hi" and "Bye" to know someone that would probably be gone tomorrow. You know best that people will stay where they are appreciated and treated well, and they will leave when they are not.
5. You see lots of money coming in but less money going out. To clarify that, you worked like an educated dog but still getting a stray dog's monthly salary!
6. You notice that almost every week, almost a bunch of people have complained about your boss's attitude. Sometimes you can't be your boss's best friend but at least he showers you with respect and see you as a person. If your boss drops you a 'bye-bye' letter without any reasonable farewell speech, then don't feel obligated to stick around.
Sometimes, it is hard for us to realize that our new job is not for us but hey, once the signs are there...contemplate on it and leave when you can. Go look for a good place to win the seniority prize and make sure you go up the stage proud of your grey strands! *_*
I'm sick of giving out the how-tos for making potato salads too!
Basically, I'm sick of things that put no periods on repetitions!
The little venture into arts sure did us so much good... *Hobbit did a shoutout and I did a scenery
For Sabbath lunch, we hitched ride Zic's car and left with Barry's family for lunch at a nearby Grand Ramen restaurant. Go dutch had never been better and rarely as good as this!
Tiramisu, literally means "pick me up" but translated from Italian into "cheer me up."
So we did have a whatsoever V-dinner last night at 10pm after Hobbit finished tutoring! I wasn't hungry anymore when his pasta was served but he was starving so I willingly accompany him eat. I was more into scrapping the candle's debris on the table cloth rather than thinking about food. Silly red spiral candles...that we had to make do with the scented ones!
Heary, see...where got special oh! Flowers pun none oh...heheh...Actually Hobbit wanted to buy something "practical" since I don't like all the dead useless stuff he said but I said "what for oh??" "waste money only!"
Well, we ended our day with Barbie's 12 Dancing Princess while savoring SR's Tiramisu cake!
*Not my picture but it looks 100% similar

Heh! Looks like today I really have time eh? Actually I was on my way to school and suddenly stomach cramp struck (the monthly friend punya pasal) that I thought I was about to give birth! The pain was excruciating and unbearable that even after we reached school Hobbit had to take me home. So here I am. Pretending Friday is Sunday! *_*
Okay...Hobbit use to laugh when I imitate other people's accents and languages. But today I stumbled upon a natural, talented imitator! I bet if this gaman practices more, he could be big in the entertainment industry minus the aramai tiih! Extremely funny!
Well, I can't go anywhere today. Work is on the way. I have to tutor till 8:30pm tonight and by the time my student leaves the house I would probably be too tired to go out. Anyway, thank you for those who have wished me love.
When I came to school this morning I was greeted and walked on red carpet. I was not the special person that the school/students were expecting and I don't know what it was for that it rolled along the main entrance pathway but I do know why the school is full of colors! Even our blouse, shirts and faces are decorated packed with stickers! Roses and hearty balloons are all over the place!
Since it is V-day, I teach my K3 students some phrase that relates to this occasion such as that you have known of Wo Ai Ni which equals to the 3 letter words we use to blurt out today!
In my last class of the day, I was serenaded with a bunch of hooligans who are desperate to complete their diorama projects! Why can't they whisper to each other?? Ggggrrrhhh headache!!

To those of you who knows Puput or Asher, today is his birthday!
Where did I put my poem I wrote about trees years ago?? I was looking for it so I could put it here to go along with the theme for my K3 this week but I've searched high and low but still couldn't find it. Nevermind!
We had fun making our own trees.
*Guess which one is my tree?? ;)
We also had Scholastic book fare and the kids enjoyed Clifford the woof woof! ;)
Another K-series! I was restless after Sabbath so I sat in front of my laptop and lock myself inside the room from sunset till 2am in the morning to finish this series. This is my second time finishing a series in less than a day! Since I was all alone watching, I sniffed like crazy!!
It is an interesting series. Since this series is a combination of a Korean-Japanese, the language are used side by side. Uchida Asahi really looks like a friend of mine back in Keningau. I wonder if he knows he looks like a Jap-artist haha! Go read more about this movie here. Meanwhile, one of my favorite song in this series is Suh Shin sung by Jung Woo. If you want to listen to this song on my imeem on this blog, you need to register in order to listen to the full song. Perhaps I encourage you to have an account with imeem since they have tons and tons of songs you could listen to and enjoy! Don't forget to add me as your friend too! *_*
I decided to recuperate during the weekend and today I am at school 100% well and ready to start the week.
So how was your Chinese New Year celebration or holidays? I know some of you are still enjoying your hols! Like Hobbit, you guys who gets a week or two off are fortunate compared to some of us who only gets a day off for a celebration like this. Since there's definitely no way we could make it home (my mom's complaining!), we celebrated CNY with some close friends. Thanks to Mom's recipes and effort to list some of her CNY well-known dishes on MSN messenger! Later when I showed her the dishes I made, she said "what are those oh??" Well, obviously this next to her generation made some modification as so to fit the modern taste buds! I'll let the youtube clip tell the rest!
Ah...you did peep into part of our apartment! I said I was going to tell you about our new tiny pad right? Well, I like everything about this new place we moved in to 2 weeks ago. We're still at the same place just different block. We moved from block C to block A. Now you know why I need some recuperation right? Hehe! Nothing much to tell actually...It's slightly spacious, no longer blue bathroom but khaki colored (how I wanted to move the blue one with us *silly*) which I am trying to like. By the way, we don't live alone by ourselves...we are sharing this place with some tiny black stupid ants! I call them stupid since they are really insufficient! They hover around almost everything! From food to toilet rolls! Not that our toilet rolls are scented but why are they in and there?? It isn't as bad though...the problem is with us! We dislike even a single ants in our house, who don't?
If you have some effective solutions, please jot it in my comments section. Thanks!
H: Eh...come to me to my school's CNY dinner okay? I'm inviting you..
W: When is it? (slurped tom yam)
H: Tomorrow at 6pm.
W: What??? Tomorrow??? Why you never ask me first and now you're saying the party is tomorrow??
H: ..but I really want you to go!
W: Next time ask me earlier first ma whether I want to go or not...

So today this loh-so-po had to attend lao kung's dinner party and guess what? We had to sit on toll way's roller coasters just to enjoy the GOOD VIEW of Bangkok! Indeed it is GOOD VIEW. No kid you one!
*yu sheng and the chopsticks of those who want to prosper!
Since it was a CNY party, they supposed to have Chinese food hoh but all we had that is Chinese to me is the Yu Sheng (raw fish salad)! From what I know, seldom people eat this dish after the prosperous mix! It is usually kept aside while other yummier dishes started to pour out from wherever! Perhaps everybody was hungry today since the yu shang was immediately spreaded among empty plates! Well, those of us who came early had to wait almost like an hour for food to be served. Some inner technical problems they had and food had to come late! Nevertheless the view, restaurant, people and food are great!
* view of Chao Phraya river from my seat
* the outdoor seats. They have funky indoors too!
* the colleagues opted for beer and drank it like water and we opted for melon beer and coconut beer! *_*
Yet to tell you about my new pad and how I won a pair of eye bags!
