One more research paper to write and I will be graduating!
Graduation in MC is on May 09-11.
I am suppose to be excited but I just don't feel it. All I can feel right now is burdened -- physically, mentally, emotionally and the one word I hate to mention... FINANCIALLY BURDENED!
It is not a statement of complain, rather it is reality in life that you have to (or at least choose to) go through. Hobbit and I have chosen this path, thus we trust God to get us through it.
Recently, someone told me off by saying "If you are tight on money, why not ask your parents to help? You wouldn't be sacrificing all the things you can have in life!" Well, this person is grousing why I can't go shopping with her and seldom hang around with their group! The heck...of course I couldn't. I am a working, independent and some more a married sexy! Why should I be living out of my parents' pocket? Even if they offered to help, a grown-up should be wise up on it. I'm not proud of what sort of independent I am but I am so darn proud that I can finally control myself on spending (I am a spendthrift!) and pay off all my financial burdens with my own sweat! Darn am I so proud! I now can speak up to that who said "kau senang bah...semua pun ibubapa bagi...bukan macam saya! (It's easy for you...your parents give you everything...unlike me!)" Until now he still thinks that our kereta buruk (age-old car) was paid by my parents because he said obviously Hobbit and I cannot afford the wedding, our masters and kereta buruk at the same time. All I could do was laugh!
I look up to all my family/friends who go/went through college/university with their own hard-earned money. The percentage of my empathy is no longer the same. I look up to people who stick to what they believe in and to those who never stop from dreaming big. How I envy those at their 40s or 50s haven't died on their dreams on getting a bachelor's degree just because they couldn't afford financially back then. I look up to those who say "lets wait" to get back on education because they know that it is not the status that matters and that there are other things far more important in life that has to come first. This talk "...mau juga dua dua ambil masters! (...why both doing masters at the same time?)" This to me is jealousy and lack understanding on "priority". Hey chap, if you are our friend, be happy and pray for us lah! If you cannot accept how we live our lives, I still say...live with it!
I am bitching out because I was just hit by a bomb AGAIN while chatting with someone. I am just not ready to make nice!
Hey friend, if you happen to read this, don't take it deep deep in your heart *_*. I don't mean to return your kind bomb, I just want to have a say. You can say anything to me good or bad but don't repeat it too many times if it is bad. Once said, I can already understand because once I lost my respect for you, I really will have nothing left. It's up to you to earn it back yourself. For me, it's worth keeping friends that build me up, not the ones that pull me down.
By the way friends, I am not going to march this year instead I am postponing it to next year's graduation as so I could march with my beloved Hobbit. Oh, recently Hobbit helped me with my IT papers (since I am so dumb with IT stuff)and now he is sleepless doing his. After all, isn't it every husband's job to carry the burden of the wife?? LOL!
It brought chills right from the beginning to the end of my spine just trying to imbibe what I have just read. I thought Genie, the feral child, was history and people ascertain as to nothing like this would ever happen again, at least not more than the years that Genie had gone through. Yes, I have read similar stories from all over the world but hey, what has gone so fundamentally wrong with us humans??
If Genie's story was reenacted in a film called Mockingbird Don't Sing, here is our very own version of Genie, House of Terror! It is fresh 2008, more than 24 years of production by an incest father, who wanted more characters in his movie other than his own daughter. Thus he decided to play god and spawned 7 characters, 3 of which were given first class treatment and the others were in the minor-league. Sounds interesting isn't?
House of Terror IS SO NOT A MOVIE!!! Read it and you'll know...
I had to admit that LS spoiled both of us Hobbits! We love chocolates to our bones and couldn't stop snacking on them as if it has any highly known health benefits or the sort! The refrigerator now is full of chocolates ranging from mild to super dark and minty to peanut filling flavors. No wonder these zits won't go away! Now what? As I was browsing the men's fashion in the latest magazine, I noticed an advert. looking for chocolate eaters for research purposes. So i jokingly said to my colleague "lets take up this challenge..." and he bluntly turned his face over and said "Heh!" So I took it as "You have no better things to do at work??" But hey, as I was browsing through the net, I again found this-- Wanted: Women to eat chocolate for a year What?? For a year?? I have been an everyday consumer since December...Do I qualify?? How much is the deal?? Hehehehehehe!
I've never seen lots of vintage cabrios in my life until last weekend when we happened to be at Central World. These drophead coups are well taken care of or perhaps some retouching has been done somewhere but hey, it's still antiques! I bet Dam's dad would go crazy over this and surely will inspire his next buy.
My personal favorite is Morgan 1994. So posh-looking and it's maroon!
To see more pictures, go to JJ's blog. Okay...gonna look for Dymo labels now!
When we were in Krabi, we were informed by locals that one can't claim that he/she has been to Krabi if they have not set foot on Phi Phi island.
The normal cost for this trip if you choose to take the speed boat is about 1200B. However, with good budgeting and planning, it can be more or less about 900B-1000B per pax.
Phi Phi (not Fee Fee but Pee Pee) island is considered one of the most beautiful island in the world. It's approximately 50 minutes away from Phuket by speedboats. The island consist of 2 small islands--Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh.
Since you readers are more interested in pictures, it's then wiser to photo-blog this post.
Departure spot from Ao Nang to Phi Phi.
It's a one day tour. So the wises choice is to take a speed boat. Nothing beats a speed boat unless you could afford a helicopter! Wind on your face and three throating engines rocketing you through...motorbike is no longer fun!
Once a beautiful island and attraction, now merely an island due to the Tsunami hit.
First snorkeling spot. We snorkeled for 30 mins. Huge corals, not many variety of fish.
I forgot most of the names of the islands we visited. Too excited!
Here comes my favorite stop of all...
Ma Ya Bay! Famed for its cameo in The Beach!
The entrance leading to Loh Sa Ma Bay. Leave your flip flops or whatever sandals in the boat in order to fully enjoy the white sand and coral rock massage in this island. Hobbit and I spent so much time exploring the tropical jungle that we had no chance to swim here. Next time must swim and do at least 10 minutes sun bathing. I tell you...this island is just so blessed with magical beauty!
This place didn't seem like it was next to the beach except for the hinting white sand.
Walk straight and you will reach here...
Beware! it's super hard to walk here because of the pointy rocks, shells and scattered corals. We had to curl or curved our feet while approaching the little opening that led to another part of the island.
Can you see the hole/opening?
Go through that opening and this is the first thing you see. Another spot for snorkeling.
Ah! Colorful crabs...
Back to the bay. Hate it...peak season...hence the crowd!
The two well-known rock pillar that visitors would not miss as their picture background.
I was bored and missing Krabi last Thursday evening that I sat and painted this pillar without any human in it. At least I can see how Ma Ya looks like when it is only peace and quiet.
Eh...I forgot the long boat resting on the left pillar...
There...added the long boat resting under the pillar. You can hardly see it here..*_*
Another beautiful spot surrounded by the crocker--Pi-Leh Bay
Opposite the above picture.
Viking Cave. Tourist used to stop and visit this cave 10 years ago. Now, it's strictly protected because of its expensive bird's nests.
The Viking's keepers.
Then we stopped at another spot for snorkeling. Forgot the name of this spot but it's beautiful and less crowded. We were warned of the corals. Before this spot, one of our buddies suffered cuts on his sole and toes due to the sharp corals. This time...it got me! I was trying to control my feet but accidentally kicked on a huge coral! It felt like slight scratches when under water and painless...but after the sea water, I could feel the stinging pain.
Our guide was really helpful and was quick to provide help. Look at the three cuts, two deep ones! Thank God for Mr Orange! Oh, Mr Orange (as we named after his orange shirt) is one of the Tsunami survivor. He has huge scar on his lap due to his escape from the disaster!
Finally a lunch stop at Phi Phi Don. I thought it was just a normal packed lunch but to our surprise it was served a la carte and it was inclusive of the whole day trip! From spaghetti to sweet and sour fish to stir fried vegetables and fruits. Now this is what I call worth-the-money!
Our group enjoyed the lunch!
Since it was the first day of Songkran, it was hard to escape from being wet and powdered. Hobbit and I were terrified of it fearing that our cameras might get wet! We only managed to explore part of Phi Phi Don since it's hard to walk around with all the splashing that went on.
Poor guys!
Part of Phi Phi still under construction after the flood.
Beautiful resorts at reasonable prices (except for peak seasons), ATM kiosks, bars, open market, massage parlor, bakery, etc! Name it...All you need in the island are sold/served here.
Things are highly overpriced in this island. This Wall's orange flavored Popsicle is 45B while the normal price is just 12B. Hobbit wanted the cone cornetto but one cone cost 65B. This amount can already pay for a mango sticky rice ice cream at Swensen's!
After we left Phi Phi Don, we were shooed off in the middle of the sea for a last snorkel and this time fishes are abandon but due to my cuts, I skipped and offered to take pictures of Hobbit. That pose he did in the picture was his way of baiting me into the water! Eleh...
After a day of on and off the water, we finally had a relaxing stop at Bamboo island. More trees here...Pine trees and other sea side plants that welcomed the soothing breeze. You either just sit on the sand and enjoy the scenery or lay down your muscles on the smooth soft carpet of white sand while reading a book or rest your tired eyes and listen to the prodigy elements around you...
Finally, we were escorted to land again.
Well, walking back to our bungalow is another story. The Songkran celebration was wild and loud that it forced us to lock and cool ourselves at Pizza Company. Lots and lots of splashing I tell you...
Until then...See if time permits for Krabi #4! *_*
I just completed my marking task that has been sitting on my desk for almost 3 weeks long. I didn't do any school work during the holiday so this week is torture. In fact there are lots more coming in by tomorrow. Haiya...when can this stop! My eyes sees double of everything now that I had to play around with my magnifying glasses to fix my sight. Well, marking is not bad too because you get to read funny things students write like "Abraham was very angry that she brake the ten commandments!" Ahahaha!
After reading Bristow's Why Bad Things Happen to Good People, it still made me question:
"Why do bad things happen to good people??"
Can't help thinking about our close family friends who just lost a loving dad/father-in-law/grandpa .
We are not to let the future, with its hard problems, its unsatisfying prospects, make our hearts faint, our knees tremble, our hands hang down. 'Let him take hold of My strength,' says the Mighty One, 'that he may make peace with Me; and he shall make peace with Me.' Isaiah 27:5.
Those who surrender their lives to His guidance and to His service will never be placed in a position for which He has not made provision. Whatever our situation, if we are doers of His Word, we have a Guide to direct our way; whatever our perplexity, we have a sure Counselor; whatever our sorrow, bereavement, or loneliness, we have a sympathizing Friend.
His will is not always easy, but it is always best.
Note: Nauseating news from home. Thanks for sharing this Dee.
The bus blew in at Krabi bus station at 7:40am and we had long been awaken by the morning sun just in time to enjoy the misty scenery along the way. We passed by rubber trees plantation, palm oil trees, coconut plantation, run down buildings, old-fashioned shops, kampong houses...Ah! Pleasant scenes reminded us of home. Hobbit and I even went gaga over free roaming buffalos and cow dungs! Then suddenly some roads looked like those leading to Tuaran and Semporna! See, we are intensely homesick!
Opposite our Bungalow's view
Our resort
Those greeted us were local travel agents' representatives who chanced on fishing customers (especially tourists) at their lost, desperate state. Knowing what we wanted ahead of time, it was easy getting our stay and trips arranged down to the last day. Not wasting a minute, we headed to Ao Nang (a hip town opposite the beach that leads to most of the islands) and drop our stuff in a resort bungalow, jumped into the truck that took us to where the long tail boat is waiting.
Our group heading towards the long tail boat
Our big boat
If you come to Krabi, don't miss on the 4-5 island tour. There are a lot of packages that take you to these islands. The normal rate is 450B per pax. We came at a peak season so prices varied a lot (in fact everything hiked up!). However we managed to get the normal rate and the overall trip was two thumbs up! Our sea guide (a hot "pirate" dude, love his tan and bulu kaki/hairy legs hehe) made sure everything went well and was extremely helpful and friendly. He added extra salt to the trip by his comical attitude.
The Sea Gypsy guide
While stopping from one island to another, you might have to change boats every now and then depending on the water level. We had to transfer from the long tail boat to the big boat several times. We thought the long tail boat was perfect for this tour if you don't mind the sun. It's best to go in a personal group tour where the group can actually rent their own long tail boat and share the cost. Hobbit and I joined 15 others who came from different countries in this tour and had a great time together. Boy I can go on and on but here is the summary...
White sand...white sand...That's the island you could cross over!
The crossing over
Koh Tup is almost like the shape of a sand glass
Perfect time to enjoy Oreo
1st island: Tab or Tup island. An exotic tropical island, ideal for easy snorkeling and exploring on foot. I actually took chance of the low tide and walked along the sandy causeway to the joined neighbouring island. A good site to snorkle, sun bathe, jungle trek, swimming, hide under the tree sheds and eat oreo! *_*
Chicken Island
Dive in deeper and you'll see corals and nemos!
2nd island: Chicken island. Why chicken? See the chicken head and neck?? Actually, it wasn't included in the 4 island tour before the disastrous Tsunami struck. With the disappearance of several islands, Chicken had to dress up pretty! No regrets. The opportunities to go snorkeling and take home souvenir photos of the local landmark, a limestone rock were all worth the chicken!
Koh Poda
Spot me!
Our lunch! They even serve fruits on board
Gives me chills just thinking about it. (Some including this are Hobbit's pics)
3rd island: Poda Island. It's a small island no more than a kilometer in diameter, covered in palm trees and almost entirely encircled by a soft white sand beach. It's irresistible combination of excellent snorkeling, scenery and soft sand make this island a popular choice among day trippers and snorkelers besides coral reef with a variety of sea life is just 20 meters from the beach!
Phra Nang Beach
Phra Nang Cave
Fertility Shrine
Yes I chuckled but there's more to these lingams!
And lots more lingams vary in sizes!
4th island: Hadd Tham Phra Nang Beach. It's actually a peninsular with sightseeing of a decorative spirit house and more swimming and snorkeling off its famous beach. Today there's a premier resort standing high and tall just next to the cave. Lo and behold, this cave has its own legend and you can read about it here.
Lots of pictures I am yet to sort out including Hobbit's. Hate adjusting the pixels coz if not the pics will only mess up my blog. Oh well, while traveling to these places, there are other islands that you would pass by or stop to snorkel but the top ones are the major ones for the famous 4 island tour. We enjoyed it immensely and by the time we got back to our bungalow, we were both soaked to the skin.
Our evening was spent meandering through St. Ao Nang street. I say it is very different from Pattaya street where red lights are all over the place. This place is considered decent in a sense that it's mainly restaurants, hotels and resorts, travel agent kiosks, massage parlors (no orovo scam) mini night bazaar and scattered clubs. Shopping is good only if you're good at haggling. Maybe I could afford a stand alone title --Ao Nang town! :)
Note: Thanks to Hobbit for holding my swimsuit at home. But I dove in anyway...^_*
Mac is in town. Met up with him yesterday and had a good time around Bangkok. We also met up with Aom, our Thai friend. Mac was craving for Thai food so we all hopped into a taxi and headed for Vientiane Kitchen. Food was authentically to die for! With good company, good atmosphere and definitely good food, a sum of a thousand plus baht is reasonable! Heh!
After that we headed for SS to check out some sports wear, swimming gears and browsed through some furniture catalog while waiting for Mac at his hit brand Adidas! Get this, sports wear are cheap in Thailand!
Krabi is one of the great attractions in Thailand. It is a small capital town of Krabi province sitting snug on the banks of Krabi river. One could hardly afford to miss out on its beautiful beach spot where the river mouth opens to the great Andaman Sea. Shallow waters, innumerable tiny islands scattered around with protected mooring bays for boats made it a haven for seafarers.
I hardly knew or read about this place until I came across a leaflet while in college a few years back promoting this beautiful place. Given slight background information about this place from the leaflet was enough to make me promise to visit this place a 'someday' back then.
Krabi has well protected bays and innumerable beaches with fine white sand and crystal clear waters on the shallow shore line. Numerous activities such as boating, rock climbing, kayaking, and snorkeling facilities are all thumbs-up activities one can enjoy! For the more adventurous, you can have the limestone precipices around on top of which you can have a good panoramic view of the surroundings.
Ever since the leaflet encounter, I have been vaunting non-stop of going to Krabi. So when Hobbit asked for suggestion, I naturally blurted out "Krabi!" while in mind thought that it's impossible for it to be too soon along. Well, weighing based on the chaos Songkran holiday can cause travelers, it wouldn't be easy to travel anywhere unless it is a short destination. Then we settled for Pattaya. Just about time that Hobbit wanted to arrange the itinerary in Pattaya, we thought "Oh wait! We were there last Songkran!" Now having cold feet for another boring place and with Krabi floating in our minds, why not!! When Hobbit blurted out a YES and arranged for everything, I could hardly hardly wait!
Friday noon right after school we set out on a taxi squeezing through the intro phase of the chaos Songkran traffic to the Southern bus terminal. It's a newly built terminal and it is 10x better compared to the old one we took when we visited Hadyai. Like any fancy private hospitals in Thailand well-known for indoor shopping malls, this bus terminal is no exception. 70% of it are places to shop and dine and there are not merely the 7-eleven marts (more than 3 inside), while waiting for your ride, you can enjoy authentic Thai massage, hair rebonding or get pedicure & menicures, chill at S&P, Auntie Anne, shop at Boots, Watson, enjoy sushi, get drunk with some boozes, do banking (check savings account), online surfing, games, buy new cellphones, stroll ala Platinum's kiosks, etc. It's almost a mini Pratunam!
We opted for the VIP tickets but all were sold out hot cakes. So we bought for first class seats instead. I still don't get the difference between VIP and first class but nevermind! The station was packed with people going home for Songkran occasion. Read about Songkran to understand why. People usually go home to ask for blessings or pay respect to their older folks. From children to adults to the disabled all going home to their respective hometown. Not many foreigners around. Mostly either left earlier to avoid the crowd or some opted to fly. We waited for 4 hours before we could board the bus. Meanwhile we enjoyed touring around the station, enjoyed carlifornia maki!
No complains about the bus just that we couldn't stretch our legs (even though they are hobbits') comfortably. It made one stop for 20 mins. dinner where we chanced on our packed Kim Chi rice. The rest of the journey was not bad--comfortable, bearable...
Normally it is a 11-12 hours journey. With the bad traffic it took us 13 hours.
Just got back from a fun trip at 4am this morning. Boy it was fun and seriously this place I went with Hobbit just has IT that made both of us want to prolong our vacation for another month if only we have the luxury of time and moola! Awesome place for a getaway vacation but I still couldn't resuscitate all the stuff we did for a post yet since my thoughts are still buoyed by all the crowds and noise from the Songkran celebration. Nonetheless, I shall find time to post about it soon!
*Me body is aching every inch. Me will go massage for sure tomorrow!*
One of my preferred games with PopCap is Bejeweled and a computer programmer guy has won a heart by adding some romantic personal touch to it that a "YES" is guaranteed from whoever that special (edition) touch was for. Read about it here.
And listen carefully now – I love you just the same.
I wrote this poem in class way back during college years. We were to produce something creative for 30 minutes and this was what I managed to come up with. Nothing great of course...but when I found it again, it gives me a sense of tinsel accomplishment far beyond compared to my 30 mins. creative ability today. I personally enjoyed the innocent voice. So in turn of celebrating another birthday tomorrow, this is my gift from myself to myself! God is good...
I've been too overwhelmed with work and a holiday getaway is just what is needed right now! I will be away for the weekend hoping to bond with nature. Until then, *throws designer jewelry* keep smiling...
It's 2:43am in the morning and I am still wide awake. I fell asleep while watching the Coffee Prince's series around 7pm and only woke up slightly past midnight and automatically found myself fiddles and still fiddling with my laptop! It seems that my tummy is growling for food so Hobbit, upon hearing my self-complain of hunger, woke up from his slumber, walked to the fridge and got me banana pie to eat. Do you see why I chose to marry this bloke now? Hehehe...
Two more days of school and we are off for a long Thai New Year's break for about a week. What borders me right now is the two more days of school. After a day break last Monday, I thought "Wow, holiday!" and started loose count of the days of school I had to go through before another long break. Sheezh! No wonder this week seemed to be much slower. I am also affected by Hobbit. He's already on vacation now and is part time planning for our itinerary this coming weekend.
Okay...holidays aside. I was called to the admin. office today and was told that I give too much homework that parents find it a torture to their kids' little hands. So I explained that parents rephrase the "too much" otherwise I will and WILL act upon the "too much!" Please help me dissect this situation:
Basic Chinese language Subject
1 period (45 minutes) in a week
K - Grade 2
Reading/Writing/Singing
Multiple levels in a class with average 25 students/1 teacher
Too many public holidays falls on Chinese periods therefore miss too many classes/school year
One and only one teacher who speaks Chinese in this section/level
Lets not discuss the one-period-for-language-t hingy and minus the multiple-levels-in-a-clas s issues. My reason for giving homework is not because I like to get back those crumpled sheets/workbooks and mark each pages with less or more stars. My reason for giving homework is not to gain attention so that parents will know what their kids are doing and learning in a one period Chinese class. Everyone knows that Chinese is one of the hardest languages among all to master. So starting to master the language when one is at the state of a baby corn is the best time. All the strokes and sound are not easy. Therefore a lot of PRACTICE is required. So the main reason is for students to practice, not torture. All I do is ask them to practice their Pin Yin reading IF they have time and practice writing their strokes which is basically like writing short 'hyphens' or 'commas' in several boxes. Is that TOO MANY??
There is something people need to know about Chinese education background. The olden days education in China is in opposition to punishment, what more torture. They do not practice physical punishment and humiliation. I know it is different outside of the school sector but really, caning is a no no in Chinese schools in China. The teachers would be penalized for caning students. So why do most people think that Chinese schools are actually cane factories where punishments and tortures reside? I am ashame to say that these images came from Malaysia and Singapore's past education disciplinary methods. Most schools especially Chinese schools portrayed the image of caning since the early days. I recall how I tasted 3 juicy spanking on my fingers after missing 3 characters on my Chinese spelling test in Grade 5 and I scored 7/10. My other friends who scored much lower couldn't even hold their spoon by lunch time. This abhorrent act of my teachers those days helps me recall each of their names very well until today.
It's Gwen's birthday today and we did celebrate our birthdays yesterday. It was great when life here is surrounded by close friends whom you can just talk and laugh with. It was unexpected that Hobbit and friends got the group together to have an early celebration for my birthday. I love the simplicity of it. He knows how much I hate extravagant celebrations and things. So what he did was just right. He thought it was too simple but I thought it was really good. Thank you Hobbit and everyone involved. Wondering what is that he's hinting about end of this week...:) As for now, I'm going to complete this reasearch on medicare part d!
Get up now Get up now Get up out of bed Wash your face Brush your teeth Comb your sleepyhead Here's your clothes and your shoes Hear the words I said Get up now! Get up and make your bed Are you hot? Are you cold? Are you wearing that? Where's your books and your lunch and your homework at? Grab your coat and gloves and your scarf and hat Don't forget! You gotta feed the cat Eat your breakfast, the experts tell us it's the most important meal of all Take your vitamins so you will grow up one day to be big and tall Please remember the orthodontist will be seeing you at 3 today Don't forget your piano lesson is this afternoon so you must play Don't shovel Chew slowly But hurry The bus is here Be careful Come back here Did you wash behind your ears? Play outside, don't play rough, will you just play fair? Be polite, make a friend, don't forget to share Work it out, wait your turn, never take a dare Get along! Don't make me come down there Clean your room, fold your clothes, put your stuff away Make your bed, do it now, do we have all day? Were you born in a barn? Would you like some hay? Can you even hear a word I say? Answer the phone! Get off the phone! Don't sit so close, turn it down, no texting at the table No more computer time tonight! Your iPod's my iPod if you don't listen up Where are you going and with whom and what time do you think you're coming home? Saying thank you, please, excuse me makes you welcome everywhere you roam You'll appreciate my wisdom someday when you're older and you're grown Can't wait till you have a couple little children of your own You'll thank me for the counsel I gave you so willingly But right now I thank you not to roll your eyes at me Close your mouth when you chew, would appreciate Take a bite maybe two of the stuff you hate Use your fork, do not burp or I'll set you straight Eat the food I put upon your plate Get an A, get the door, don't get smart with me Get a grip, get in here, I'll count to three Get a job, get a life, get a PHD Get a dose of, "I don't care who started it! You're grounded until you're 36" Get your story straight and tell the truth for once, for heaven's sake And if all your friends jumped off a cliff would you jump, too? If I've said it once, I've said at least a thousand times before That you're too old to act this way It must be your father's DNA Look at me when I am talking Stand up straighter when you walk A place for everything and everything must be in place Stop crying or I'll give you something real to cry about Oh! Brush your teeth, wash your face, put your PJs on Get in bed, get a hug, say a prayer with mom Don't forget, I love you And tomorrow we will do this all again because a mom's work never ends You don't need the reason why Because, because, because, because I said so, I said so, I said so, I said so I'm the mom, the mom, the mom, the mom, the mom!! Ta da!!!
Wow! This mom can really create bubbles! There are times I can sound so like this mom when talking to Hobbit especially on something that I am not satisfied with. All the advice is nothing new and it sounded so much like my most of my students' moms...I said this because whenever I ask my students why is this and that like this? Most of the time their answer is because their mom said so. It saddened me to think of how these kids (sons and daughters of moms) willingly live up to their moms' expectations. Last week I tutored a student who literally think that her mom is correct all the time. Whatever the mom says, she obediently be her plasma mount pillar. So whenever I tell her to do something DIFFERENT from what the mom has taught her, she will say "No...my mom said bla bla bla..!" I explained why she needed to do it differently this time and again she defended herself by mentioning the big fat MY-MOM-SAID-SO! I ended up giving her an inch of my temper since she started to become disrespectful and giving me that who-are-you look!
