I Wish

source: twiddy

I have a head-full flash memory. Just wishing that you would stay. Hey, don't leave me...

I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,

But more than anything, more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
And you always give more than you take.

But more than anything, yeah, and more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

This is my wish
I hope you know somebody loves you
May all your dreams stay big

Multi-task in Class

Today was another hectic day. Although I was done with tests and my lessons, I still need to check and grade a pile of workbooks that has been sitting on my desk for about a week now. I thought I could finish checking each of the books on my free time but apparently the books were left untouched until today. Thank God I managed to steal time grading some in class while my students had their interactive learning session. It wasn't easy though. I had to translate certain phrases to my kids and at the same time mark their books. I was this way for literally 4 hours  straight without any break in between today. Ahh...I was pushed to multi-task! Work like this makes me want to go to another rv camping faraway. Better still, I should go for the thought that crossed my mind while chaos happened: I wish I could go home and sleep, cook delicious meal, eat, and sleep ONLY...It could be done but sadly my reality hasn't reach that level yet!

God Has Kept Me Here For A Reason

I got a beautiful Westgate email from Pauline (a wonderful African friend who graduated with me last week) and was truly blessed upon reading it. She and I has been sharing a lot about our daily struggles and words of encouragement we get from each other always made us stronger and persevere in life. Allow me to share parts of the email with you...

God has kept me here for a reason. I survived because He has a plan for me. All my bad relationships, the addictions, the consequences, the bad credit, the repossessions, the death of my loved ones, the back stabbing from my friends, the negative thoughts, or the lack of support; I made it because I am Blessed!

I release and let go of all past hurts, misunderstandings and grudges because I am abundantly Blessed! I recognize them as the illusions they are, and sent from the enemy to kill my spirit, steal my joy, and destroy  my faith; For God is all there is. All else is a lie! Now give yourself a hug, wipe your tears away and walk in victory!!!!!!!! I love you, but more appropriately God loves you BEST!  Be Blessed and know that you are at one with THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD! And may the Lord keep watch between you and me when we are away from each other.

Bulging Eh?

I love this poem. Should share it with my buddies so they could compromise with the best weight loss product!

Battle Of The Bulge

"I'll start a new one Monday", we've heard it all before,
but if I don't really start one soon I won't make it through the door.

I start with good intentions of that I can't deny,
I'm getting fatter by the hour, I'll really have to try.

So no more chips or chocolate, no more 'pigging out'
I'll be be very careful what I eat of that there'll be no doubt.

I'll watch my waist get tiny, I'll watch my figure thin,
Oh what a joy it's going to be to at last be nice and slim.

I can see me walking down the street in dress size number ten,
I just have to resist and resist I will when I get a hungry yen.

With exercise in every form and regular daily jogs,
you'll see me lazing by the pool in my top designer togs.

So come join me all you tubbies, come join with me at last,
I'll need all the help that I can get to get me through this fast.

If you see me eating lollies or sneaking greasy fries,
then smack my hand and click your tongue, remind me of my size.

I'm sure that I can make it, I just need a little space
before Monday comes around again, till then I'll "stuff my face"!

Children's Love

Monday, my favorite among the week since I only have 2 periods with K3s. As the end of the school year is approaching in less than a month, my Chinese classes especially in K3 are busy practicing action song to be rendered on their graduation day early June. On top of that, due to the many (real nice) Thai holidays, we have to also try cover up some fun topics in their book before they move on to Grade 1. I know it is not necessary to finish the book and I am not trying to finish it but I want my students to get to do those really fun stuff in that book so that they don't miss out all the fun stuff and of course learn from these materials as well.

Basically my lp yesterday was completing some pages in the book and then practice for graduation. For the practice, I divided the students in a class into two groups so I could monitor and give comments to each of their move efficiently. (commercial real estate)

The first class went well. The students listened (although some are still monkeys from the holidays but they managed), participated and obeyed. Moving on to the next class (this class has a lot of smart ones but behavior wise not feasable), we started with the book. Then we moved on to the singing practice. Here is where they got wild. While some are doing the proper actions according to the song, some of the boys and girls just moved and danced hysterically like there is no tomorrow! I tried to tell them nicely that they have to cooperate and do the actions as a group since it really requires team work, they nodded. However, when the music was back on, they did exactly the same hysterical move and started screaming! Bam!!! That was it. I paused the music and stared at them with rodent eyes...gave them a piece of my mind that if they continue to misbehave like that they would no longer be able to sing with the rest of their friends on stage for graduation. That made them chuckled and upon meeting my rodent hot red eyes staring at them, they quiet. It went well throughout then and it was time for me to go. After they said their lao shi zai jian (goodbye teacher), some of them came running to me and grabbed hold of my feet, put their little hands around my waist to hug and kiss me!

Ohhhh....I tell you...My firey rodent eyes instantly looked like dripping melted chocolates!! The many blessings being a teacher! :)

Wednesday but Monday

It felt like Monday today. Somehow it is hard to live through the day thinking otherwise. Was it because yesterday's holiday and staying at home made me fee more like a Sunday and my brain waves automatically set Monday as today's default? Well, the missing 11am class today totally shows how the days are messed up in my head. Fortunately, I didn't really miss class. By the time I got to my K2 class at 11:15am, the floor was empty and no teachers and kids were around. So I figured it was their chapel period this week. Phew! You should have seen me gasping for breath running down the stairs thinking that I was terribly late...No Fenphedra could beat the run!! :)
