New School Year & Work
The new school year went well and I was very happy that all my students love the new Chinese classroom. Even though it was small compared to the normal classrooms, I have nothing to complain but thank God and the administrators for letting me have that place which was previously a teacher's room.Being bold and voicing out my needs really helped to get me going for the rest of the year. Otherwise I could go on teaching but unhappy. It is very important that a teacher gets sufficient materials and equipment in the classroom. I could understand a poor school's situation but I couldn't understand how an international school like mine can't provide things that is essential for both teachers and students to perform well in class.
As for school, there were many new teachers this year and most of them are no strangers. These new faces would definitely help a great deal as the school tries its very best to achieve its mission/goals. The school is also happy to have more new students this year and I believe these are the work of the holy spirit. Working at the front desk somehow made me feel that these new students were brought to this school not by chance but through certain situations that brought them there. Although I couldn't see how some of them were not eligible but I think that was just me, a mere human who but alone could only see not even a speck of God's vast plan.
I often forget why I am here and tend to bash and complain when many things don't work well at work but I would like to be reminded through lots of prayers that as I serve in this Christian school, let me think and work as if I am serving God and not men while living in this manufactured home.
