In the plane: The Heck with 100mL!

I was ready. So I took the taxi to Suvarnabumi airport. To my surprise, it cost less than 150B. It was 121B to be exact. Oh wait...did that guy sitting behind me just farted??? Smells like rotten eggs! Anyway, I'm actually blogging from AirAsia airplane. It's so boring here. I'm sitting next to the window, the middle seat is empty, and the end seat is taken by increadible hulk who is eyed fixed to his PSP. Wish I could borrow. The lady who is sitting across the alley looked like she just had a rhinoplasty aka nose surgery. To read more about rhinoplasty, there are several good sites such as Rhinoplasty San Jose.

As I approached Suvarnabumi airport, it was already 1:45pm. So I quickly checked in and bought lunch. The food I had wasn't so nice. It was fried garlic chicken with fried egg and rice. I hated the meat and threw all of it away. I don't know why I keep buying food with ayam but hate meat nowadays. It makes me want to puke! Lunch over, looked up the time and it was already 2:48pm. Rushed down to the 2nd floor and looked for dad's favorite facial scrub. The lady at the counter asked me "Are you flying out of the country?" I replied "yes". So she sealed the product I bought in an air-tight transparent bag. Why the sealing??

Shoot I thought. I need to pay for airport tax. So I rushed up to the departure area and searched for the tax ticketing. None. Asked the security guy, he smiled and said "no Miss, you don't need to pay tax!" What? What? Was it that long since I last traveled? Yee haaa! No need to pay for tax, people!!

I needed to go to F1 gate and it was at the other end of the airport. With a big, full, bulky backpack, a notebook hanging on my right shoulder, and a shopping bag occupying my left hand, I could hardly run. Nevertheless I kept walking until I reached the entrance to GF1. Qued for my passport check, then straight to the gate entrance bypassing all the duty-free shops.

There's something unusual as I approached the security check desk. Before the scanning area, there's a security personel standing right in front awaiting for me to put my stuff for inspection. The first thing they noticed was the durian flavored tidbits. He said I can't take it in the plane. Oh well I should have known better, not to take any durian, even durian flavored. My bad, so you may throw it away. Then he saw the mosquito electric rackets my mom asked me for. Thank God we didn't get three honey! They said they have to confiscate those too. So I asked why? There's no sign or anything that warns me not to take it. Plus I wrapped it nicely and won't harm anyone. They insisted with a big "No". So I said can I leave it here so I could pick it up when I come back? "No such service." What??? When another personel came and took it away, I was so pissed and sarcastically say "throw it, throw it!" Next, they went through my backpack. My make-up pouch. Guys, they literally looked into all the content of my liquid stuff! From my zits tube, mascara, foundation until my medium sized pantene shampoo! They then very kindly dumped all the liquid stuff, toothpaste, zit's pen, etc into one air-tight transparent bag. Oh well, that was neat! Now I know why Boots put the stuff I bought into one too! Ah, they threw away my brand new shampoo! $#%*! Reason - more than 100mL. Yeah right! Mineral water? Label was more than 100mL, but content was way less than 70mL, got into the bin too! Fine! Then my Seishido facial wash, toner and stuff...if they took this away, I wouldn't have screamed! Thank God no seishido went to the bin. When everything was done, I walked away with a traumatized face and tons of raging angers!

So right now, I am safely tucked in the plane and trying to sit tight due to some turbulences...

Met up with my brother right after the plane landed and later on met up with parents. Had a good meal at Kenny Rogers and now I am comfortably settled with my parents here in one of the hotel in Subang Jaya. It's so nice to be with them again. My brothers are just so eager for me to come as well as my parents. Seeing them again took away all the home sickness I had since they last visited Thailand.

Happy Birthday Dad & Hello Subang Jaya

Mom started her course. While she was busy with her program, we were out busy with shopping and eating! Went for lunch at In Kopitiam at Subang's Carrefour, ordered Nasi Lemak and it wasn't that nice. Still, nothing beats Kopitiam Bangkok's Nasi Lemak! Bought some learning CDs for my students and off we went for free massage at Ogawa!

The highlight of the day: Celebrated Dad's birthday at Windmill Restaurant. The environment in this restaurant is just nice for candlelights dinner. The Gecko Creek was super...shhh! It was all worth paying for. Glad dad enjoyed his birthday. Nothing beats celebrating birthdays with your family, we all had fun chatting and laughing. I am just glad to be here with them. They were right, why would I say no to a free ride?? Hehe!

Rain, rain go away!

Stayed in the hotel until noon time. Raining heavily and too lazy to get wet! Mom was all excited about her course. It is hard to spend time with her since she's all hooked up with her course. I seldom see her attitude while studying, but sharing the same room with her made me noticed how serious she could be when she's concentrating on her stuff. Dad and I even got scolded for talking and laughing out loud!

Went to Subang Pyramid after mom was done with her course. As you noticed, I really like to tell you readers about food hehehhee! So we went to The Manhattan's Fish Market Restaurant. Ohh heaven, the dish that I ordered was my family's favorite. Everyone was scooping out of my plate! When it came to paying bills, this one waitress from Sabah gave us a 10% discount under her name. When asked why? "Sebab kamu dari Sabah." Wow..very sweet of her. We were teasing Ander for luring her through the dishes eek!Money mouth

With our bulky stomachs, we decided to stroll along the Subang street. It was cool and windy. Subang Jaya is not quite bad. I like its quiet city night life with lots of good restaurants you can go to, unlike Bangkok. Good restaurants closes at 10pm or 10:30pm. What is left is all the noisy club restaurants apart from the small small food stalls! Okay, stroll is over, time for bed.

Cuti-Cuti Malaysia & Merdeka Sale

Went to KL. Time Square, Bukit Bintang, Sungai Wang, KL Central, etc. So lazy to elaborate shopping details. Will leave you with pictures. Good food, good walks, tons of sale vs limited moola, happy faces, happy tummy and happy hands (carrying shopping bags *_*)! I finally get to shop in NOSE! My favorite footwear brand for now. I almost pajak 5 different styles! Too good with the discounts and unique style. I like and I will come back NOSE...wait for me!

With a successful persuasion speech from mom, dad and I agreed to attend a one session course with mom for free. We thought it would be way boring, so dad and I secretly made a deal to sneak out when mom is concentrating with the talk and go eat! The moment we reached the ball room and sat, both dad and I didn't moved our butt off the chair due to the interesting information given. The speaker was great too. At the end we were just glad to have attended the course with mom. Later, we visited Windmill again for a big plate of noodles.

Back to the Land of Smile

I am at So Wanna Pooh Suvarnabumi airport. This airport is no longer friendly to me now. The immigration process after my landing was damn slow too that I had to stand in line for about 1:30 minutes before I could get my backpack! Too many planes landed at the same time and very few Immigration officers were on duty. The line where I stood had a very lousy officer. It took him about 10 mins. just to check all the documents for one person while the officer on my left and right only spent like less than 2 mins.

I am so hungry and heavy rain outside. Wanted to take the cab but my hobbit said he could fetch me. That means I have to wait and who knows how long this wait is going to take me. I am so hungry.

Dad was the one who accompanied me to KL Central before I took AA skybus to LCCT. I know he will be lonely today since mom is attending her courses, brothers are back to their places, and I am here. Good thing is brothers will be with them tomorrow and they will move to a hotel in KL. That means lots of traveling and shopping for them without me.

Battery running out. I better go eat something! Ah..I see that century egg congee again!
