3gb
05.02.08 (6:50 pm)   [edit]

Do you still remember the wave that hit the internet two years ago? I remembered very well because whenever I checked my email account there would always be two to three person who would send you invitations to all sorts of community group websites and sometimes if I passed the email too long without opening it, several reminders saying something like "reminder--so and so had invited you to join abc online community group...bla bla!" The first community group website I joined was Friendster and the rest followed. I remembered being so excited since what else is the fastest way to get connected to long lost friends if not through websites such as this? Friendster back then didn't have much in terms of features but the personal pages and the testimonies and the sort were quite enough to keep people coming back to want to know who left testimonies on their page.

That was the wave two years ago. Nowadays community group websites have grown into a full fledge family home. It is almost or at least to some it is a virtual home where everything you do is widget-convertible just like this one hit community pages no other than Facebook. You could do almost everything virtually for example slapping your friend, hugging your friend and even bigger, gatherings and riots!

Today I discovered 3gb. 3gb has the same concept such as other community websites but differ in certain areas. Still you could upload photos, blog, be in a group or form a group, listen to mp3s and so on. So far it has 654 members and 53 blog entries. My guess is that not many people know about this communities yet or maybe some people like myself prefer to just join in one or two of them as to minimize confusions. Anyway, if anyone is interested, feel free to sign in and browse through. Otherwise just skip it if you think enough is enough! :)
