Unexpected Pain
This post is supposed to be posted last week right after Weekend Fun but because of my busy schedule I just couldn't find time to put this up.
So we had too much fun karaokeing and our tummies weren't filled before the blast, and when I got home everything was fine and normal. Yet when it was past midnight, I had this stabbing pain on my right upper abdomen and the pain just kept coming that the first thought was of course gastritis but thought carefully again it might be appendicitis rupture! Oh no! I wasn't sure but I did eat and I did everything that I could think of and the pain just won't go away. For a short while I was able to sleep until 8am in the morning and shortly after it came back stabbing again. I have never felt so much pain in my abdomen before. Even period pain is bearable but not this. If it was gas that caused the pain, I just need air tools. Then I thought I needed a physician both earthly and heavenly!
Hobbit and I canceled our meet ups with our friends and drove me to the hospital. I was lucky because Dr. Nick was on duty that day and so he made things so much easier and I was so much at ease. They took my blood sample and urine sample and we waited for a couple of minutes. When I went in after blood and urine results were ready, this soft spoken doctor had a big smile on his face that he made me anxious to know what actually happened to me! Well, since it wasn't appendicitis even though the pain was on the right side, it was suspected that it could be enteritis (intestinal infection). He prescribed some medication and sent me home. Along the way home, I thought what did I do to deserve such a blessing from God? I could have a serious case of anything based on the degree of pain but God was merciful beyond words. I could never thank Him enough for His mercy and protection towards me!
